Sea of Diamonds has 3 great deals for Valentine's Day

“Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

“We shall find peace. We shall hear angels, we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.” ~ Anton Chekhov

“"I'm feeling so good. I feel like a million bucks. I'm focused, I'm alert, I'm zippy and top of my game.. I've never felt better! I'm sharp as a tack right now. And what's weird is that I didn't get a good nights sleep last night. And they say that's the most important thing..Or is it breakfast they said?..That's the most important meal of the day, breakfast...yes. And then it's 'i' before 'e' I know that..Um.. diamonds are a girl's best friend. Dog is a man's best friend.. What was I talking about?..Oh that's right, that I feel great and I'm at the top of my game. And it's odd because I didn't get hardly any sleep last night. And, they say that's the most important thing." ” ~ Ellen DeGeneres

"In the middle of my tears ain't feeling on top of everything, strong arms lovingly took me into embrace, the next thing I knew... a diamond was on my finger." ~ Gleenn of Creative Fashion

When we are not supposed to laugh? That's fashion.

We are not suppose to laugh on someone who gets hurt, right? Like if some falls on the ground or break a knee? We are suppose to feel sorry.

But what happens if what you see is something you really cannot afford but laugh?

I was in the disadvantage side. During the sports day of our school last week, I competed for the hurdles race for teachers category. It was not that I was really prepared to do it, I was simply asked by a co-teacher, a co-team member, if I would take her place for the hurdles. She already competed for a 100m race. I said "yes". New to the game, I did not know the technique. Ran as fast as I could when the whistle blew and jumped too high on the first block, too bad, the speed and impact was too much for my leg to carry, I landed on the very rough cemented ground on my knees. I quickly stood up and continued the race, finished third, but whoa! when I saw my knees, they were bleeding. The left was worse. I secretly cried, not due to the pain, but due to the thought of having big scars on my knees. Girls, just like any other girl, I value my skin too much. But I guess not enough to consider the consequences of being dare devil whenever faced with a challenge.

Alright, so how did my knees relate to the question? Well, as you can imagine, my students, watching and cheering for their teachers, couldn't help but laugh at me. Not bad, really. I guess I must have looked funny.

And that's also true to these anchors, who couldn't help themselves but laugh at this poor model who struggled to carry the designer's shoes well, but clearly, she failed. Girls, I laughed too. But not because of the model's fall, but because of how the anchors laugh.

I was so tired when I got home. A very demanding day job plus extra home tutorial can really be heavy, was excited to sit in front of laptop to check what I've got. But I was welcomed by the sad story of Ken Green, the golfer who met a series of tragedy in life. Barely recovered, now his son is dead. Oh, how painful life can be sometimes.

But then I felt delighted to read an email from another fashion web mistress saying she enjoys reading my blog and that she likes what she sees. Let me just quote her "... I think you've put just the right amount of personality and individual style into it." That one's great. Thanks.

I checked her back. And guess what? I enjoyed more her site, Runway Rundown. With all the most fabulous dresses from the runway. Oh, how I love Runway. :)

Street Fashion: Not unnoticed

Sometimes I get overwhelmed by all the stylish smart girls I see arond the city. They always impress me. Sometimes, I can't let them go unnoticed. So here are the two street fashion shots that inspired me recently.

Extra-ordinary designs from the River City Mall

Hello girls! Welcome to the River City. The city where all the Chao Phraya River cruises start.

I found these designs from the River City mall. I thought they are extra-ordinary. A butterfly dress and a peacock thai top.

I couldn't resist but to share them to you. The boutiques were closed when I passed them that's why I had not asked for the price. But you can guess, they must cost a fortune.

Thrifty shopping for everything you need at offers.com

I am always into thrifty shopping, as you girls know, I look for items on sale if I were to shop. However, being a high school Maths teacher with tutorial commitments after school, searching for sale items in malls is more than toil. Clearly, mall shopping is hardly fitted in my time table. That is why I turned into online shopping. Now, I search for online boutiques that offer items at sale price, discount coupons, or discount codes.

If you regularly read my blog, you would know my recent finds because they are immediately shared in here. However, I have not found a site where everything that I need is entirely available. I would have to google every time for each item or brand that I am looking for. Until very recently, I came across a site which answers this very plight. Oh, they just have everything that you would need for. And everything is at discounted rate. They have varied promotion such as discount coupons, discount rate if you sign up through email, or automatic discounting whenever you purchase a specific product. These promotions are available only online. That means, if you go to an outlet, it is not guaranteed that you would enjoy the same offers they have in the site.

This is a fashion blog therefore I share only my fashion finds. But offers.com is more than just fashion boutiques. They have everything for travel, personal and home, software and media, finance and insurance, things you see on tv, retail categories where fashion and shopping is included, stores, coupons and free offers. In short, you save time and money through a very convenient way of shopping.

Now for my finds, they are from gap; we say, one of the best American apparel. And you can bet; they came with discounted coupons.

And by the way, keep reading because at the end of this post, I will reveal the code that would give you an additional 20% discount for all already discounted items.

I cannot seem to resist all the items displayed. This little shopaholic in me is craving and pushing. I need a little help here, a little rationalism.

Oh wait, let me tell you a little secret. I do have a significant number of designers items. But most of them were actually bought through sale.

I reason, that at least, it is more practical to acquire expensive items if they are on sale.

Sometimes, if I go window shopping, I think that it's going to be purely window shopping. Yet, as you can guess, it does not always end that way. Did it ever happen to you? You don't plan to buy anything, but suddenly you see something so enticing that you cannot resist? And it is worse if the item is on sale.

Well, although it happens to me most of the time, I always do not regret the items that I bring home.

Okay, so enough rants about sale and jackets. Let's take a look at a salad picks for my new addition to my closet. Hmmm, why not? If they are at a crazy sale price?

Side Mall Fashion Vendors in Bangkok

Another thing that impresses me about Bangkok is the way people strive to earn. You go stroll the entire Central World and on the 5th and 4th floor, you would see people, especially university students spreading blankets or mats on the floor selling cheap fashion items. You would see them at night, after school, or for some people, after work, selling fashion products at very low price. Not only would you find many displays inside the mall but even outside the ground floor. They actually take a big space.
