Nike Shoes From JDSports Product Review

When I was asked if I could review a product from JDSports, I was torn between a pair of women's sports shoes and a chic and sporty training bag. I solicited my husband´s opinion and he urged me to have the shoes. The trainers come in white and black.

I thought to take the black but hubby once again urged me to take the white. I was less impressed with the white on the photo but hubby explained to me that white always look better than black. I thought I better listen to the expert when it comes to sports shoes, someone who´s got a big collection of it, so I went for the white.

But when it came, I hugged and kissed my husband for how many times for urging me to pick the white. Look just how beautiful it is! The photo on the website did not give justice to its real beauty at all. Its neon green against the white combination is just perfect. From the striking neon green laces, the complementary neon yellow green color sprinkled on the right places to its check reflectors on the sides, I´m totally in loved! It´s very light, soft and comfortable to wear.

Nike Lunarglide+ 4 is retailed at £90. As I´ve said, it´s available in white/neon green and black/fireberry. The only thing I have about the shoes is, it has no room allowance. My shoe size is 36 and sure the size 3 fits like a glove, but when it comes to exercising and running, I need a 0.5 allowance. The next size available on the site is 4, which is 37 1/2 in UK size, and is quite big for me. So basically, I chose the size 3, exactly 36 UK size, but I can´t wear the shoes to the gym because it won´t be too comfy when I´m to do the drills.

But this actually isn´t a big issue to me because these Nike runners are too fancy for the gym anyway, I´m looking forward to creating chic street outfits with it.

All in all I´m really happy and satisfied with the shoes. I highly recommend it to all stylish sporty ladies out there. If you intend to wear your pair to exercise, however, I suggest going for a half size bigger to really make the most of it.

Halter Dress from La Redoute Product Review

I was given a £50 limit to choose a product from La Redoute to review. There are lots of pretty and colorful dresses to choose that taking just one is hard. However, when I saw this plain dress with cutaway shoulders and drawstring tie in midnight blue, I didn´t hesitate to choose it at all. Yes, it´s a plain monochrome but I knew immediately how I´d wear and style it. I knew I could make it look gorgeous.

halterdressreview

This A-line dress is made of polyester and is completely lined. Polyester is not your best bet for clothing when the weather is too warm but when I wore it to a 20°C temperature, it´s completely comfortable.
dressreview

I love its cutaway style to show off my shoulders while the drawstring on the neckline creates a halter effect. This midnight blue dress comes without a belt. If worn loose, the hems hit quite below my knees and it doesn´t flatter me. So I added a wide black belt to cinch the waist and to give me shape.

I sticked to black additionals - black wide belt and black peep-toe ankle boots - to maintain elegance. That´s right, this dress is very elegant. To wear it to a night party, I´d simply swap the boots with a black strappy heel or a metallic (silver) pump.

You might think that this look is too dark? Well, add a bright clutch or shoulder bag to provide contrast. See the look below.

Used to retail at £49 price, this halter dress is currently on sale for 70% off. You can get this dress now for only £14.70 but see if they still have your size.

So tell me darlings, what do you think of this dress? Do you like my look? How would you wear this blue halter dress?

Item to Splurge: Dsquared Military Jacket

Military jacket quickly gives you that boy-meets-girl appeal. There are many ways to wear it (see: How to Fashionably Wear Military Jacket and Coat), but my favorite styling trick for this power jacket is wearing it over a white or cream laced dress with black ankle boots, a´la Diane Kruger`s street look.

Alternatively, I also see myself wearing this Dsquared Jacket - military lookwith a plain white tank top under teamed with a floral full skirt, nude cross body bag and black strappy heels.

Military look is a hot trend of the moment and it will continue to fall and winter seasons. When the weather is cold, simply finish this military jacket with a pair of skinny jeans, black riding boots and black wool scarf.

So what do you think of this military jacket? It´s a little expensive, $693. Would you go off to splurge?

My Love Affair with Garment Bags

I have a lot of good stories to tell about garment bags and they´re all from my childhood. I first heard about these wonder bags when I was like nine years old while mom arranged her clothes, picking the best dresses to hang in her new garment bag.

She said that when she was younger and single, she had two garment bags full of beautiful dresses (she collected from her hard earned money as a sales lady in one of the biggest shopping malls in Cebu) were stolen from her boarding room. She´ve never forgotten those dresses.

I always looked up my mom´s garment bags hanging in my parents room. I too wished that when I grow up, I´d have my own garment bag to fill with pretty dresses just like my mom.

Fast forward many years later and that dream didn´t really materialized for since I got my first job, I was blessed to have a closet where I could hang my dresses. But this didn´t ease my fixation towards hanging my own garment bag at all. I remembered giving in to this fixation at some point, I purchased a garment bag to hang in my room at my parents´ house shortly before I went abroad.

For girls who live in smaller apartment places with not enough room for a complete closet, I believe that opting for wholesale garment bags is practical. Getting yourself two or three garment bags to hang in the corner of the room saves more space (and money) while still protecting your clothes.

So what do you think of garment bags? Have you ever saved your dresses in a gorgeous garment bag?

Panoramic View Plus My Red/Black Print Sweater Top Outfit

This afternoon I and my newfound friend visited the panoramic view at a catholic church near my place. The church is situated on the highest ground in the city and it overlooks the entire city. We hiked up to the church wearing ballet flats and we were joined by my mom-in-law and another elder sister from our church. But no, I´m not catholic.

Earlier today I wore this red/black print sweater with a black sheer (with knee length lining) long skirt and opaque tights for our church service. After our potluck, my friend thought to come with me to see our place. When I got home, I changed the skirt to denim shorts.

Now, have a look at our place. :)

TATCHA Product Review- Skin Ritual of the Geishas

As I’ve always said, taking care of your skin is a priority for any woman. However, it can be very hard to find the right product that is appropriate for your skin type and be free of harsh and synthetic chemicals. So, when TATCHA asked me to review their all-natural skin care products, I couldn’t resist.

Combining ancient geisha beauty secrets with three skin-enhancing anti-oxidants (Red Algae, Greet Tea and Rice Bran extracts), TATCHA developed a skin ritual that will leave your skin feeling clean and renewed. They sent me products that were tailored to my Dry and Sensitive skin. The Japanese ancient geisha ritual consists of four steps:

  • Pure. I removed my makeup using their One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil using dry hands and a dry face. This seemed a little odd since I am so used to washing my makeup off with soap and water. As soon as I tried it, I knew this was the superior way to clean my face. The cleansing oil gently removed all my makeup without over-drying my skin.
  • Polished. After removing my makeup, I combined the Rice Enzyme Powders with a little water to create gentle exfoliant. The delicate powder deep cleaned my skin and removed all debris and dead skin cells. After a few days of using this, I noticed all my blackheads were gone.
  • Radiant. After exfoliating my face and drying, I applied the Deep Brightening Serum which added instant moisture and radiance. After 4-8 weeks of use, existing age spots will begin to lighten.
  •  Supple. After applying the serum, I used the Moisture Rich Silk Cream which added even more moisture (very necessary for my dry skin). This product left my face with a weightless look and feel of silk (like the geishas). I also used the cream in the morning as a primer.
These steps may seem like a lot to remove makeup and clean skin, but they go by fast and really work. I’ve tried numerous different facial skin products and the TATCHA products are by far my favorite. My skin has not felt this clean and soft since I was a baby!

Another great product TATCHA offers is the Aburatorigami (Japanese beauty papers). They are wonderful to have on hand during the summer to remove excess sweat and oil on the go. Every bride and bridesmaid should have these to ensure they don’t look blotchy on the big day.

I think why TATCHA’s products are superior is because of their innovative philosophy on skin care. They believe in an ancient theory that the skin is brilliant at healing itself. The natural concentrated bioactive ingredients in their products provide the nourishment the skin needs to replenish itself with little to no irritation.

I would definitely recommend TACHTA’s skin care products to any woman seeking to improve their skin. Check out their website to see all their products that are also available for Oily and Normal skin types and start on a geisha skin journey!

Sexy Printed Criss Cross Neck Dress To Steal My Heart

I´m a self-confessed shoeholic and I know that I´m one because if I´m to choose between a fabulous pair of shoes and a fabulous dress, I´d take the shoes.

And yet, I know if the dress is really beautiful, it makes me not leave without having it.

As I was writing the post about Miranda Kerr´s style today at the blogazine, I came across this ultra-sexy printed dress with criss cross neck.

I knew I have to talk about it here. You see, doing what I do expose me to all the many fabulous and beautiful pieces a woman can have. If I didn´t learn to control my itch to shop, I would have been broke since day 1.

I´m glad I have this blog where I can vent about all the wonderful fashion pieces that make my heart skip a bit. At least you know what I´m currently coveting and that I don´t have to buy all of them. I can talk about them.

But really, should I buy this? Women's Zotia Printed Criss Cross Neck Dress is on sale for 30% off. Used to be worth $138, this printed dress is now sold at $95. You´d save a good $42.

How to Wear a Cheetah-Printed Blazer

I´ve said it how many times and I´ll say it again, I love animal print because of its ability to amp up an otherwise blah outfit.

While some girls are still weary of wearing this print, it has become a wardrobe staple for many fashionistas. In fact, the quickest way to inject animal print to a look is through shoes, bags and other accessories.

Here to the left is a cheetah-print blazer in natural colors. It also comes in red and black but I prefer this one because of its being neutral that makes it easy to team with other neutral or colored pieces.

To wear it casually, layer it with a simple black tank top to temper the print and finish with your favorite pair of jeans. You can go for either skinnies or wide leg but I prefer the latter for more dimensions.

To wear this cheetah print blazer to work, team it with a black top and black pencil skirt or black sailor pants and finish off with nude pumps. You can even dress it up for special occasions. Layer it over a tangerine short mini dress or a neon green sheath dress and finish off with nude or metallic heels.
