Casual Summer Outfits for a Casual Date

In summer, and I mean in really warm days, my go-to casual outfits are denim shorts teamed with a sleeveless or a roomy, loose top. Because the pavements here in our city are made of bricks, I opt for flats for an afternoon or evening stroll. Here are three casual outfits I wore this month to a casual date with my hubby.

This loose, striped tee made of cotton is one of my favorite summer piece and I usually wear it with dark wash denim shorts. For this look, I added a black small shoulder bag and black ballet flats. Coincidentally, hubby also went for blue themed casual look. We didn´t really plan to match our outfits, it just happened.

We went to have dinner at the (only) Thai restaurant here in our city. It was actually the first time that we dined there. It made me realize how much I missed Thai foods. I ordered Tom Yum Kai and Kaophat Kai.

After dinner we walked around and visited my favorite shoe boutique, as you can see in the picture.

Our dinner dates are usually laid back, this time we dined at our favorite Italian restaurant. I wore a gray print top with nude denim shorts, ankle length thong sandals, and cross-body bag.

My husband went for a cool combination, mint green shorts, white tee with graphic print layered under a white short-sleeved shirt, and brown shoes. I´m proud to say that my husband has a great sense of style. It was actually the first thing that made me feel attracted to him, his style.

We kind of have dinner dates in row. I wore this outfit to our dinner at a Turkey/Italian mix restaurant. It was really hot during that day so I went for a blue sleeveless top with Peter pan collar partnered with blue washed denim shorts, Burgundy sunglasses, and gray ballet flat. I wore my hair up in a bun.

We try to watch our expenses and we have a rule to limit our dining out at most twice in a month, but that was obviously crossed this month. Anyway we enjoyed it.

  1. Awww... love the casual outfit... I miss Thailand as well, good thing we have a lot of thai restaurants in Cebu... but nothing beats the authentic Thai food.

Thank you for your time and for your sweet comments. I assure to visit you back shortly. Hugs :)
